Our story starts in the summer of 2023 in the YSA ward at the Bradbury. We went on two dates, but at the time, Mia friend-zoned Tyler (whoops). A few months later, Mia's sister Megan came back into town and encouraged her to give Tyler another chance. In April, we started going out again and hit it off immediately. When Tyler left for his internship, we made our relationship official over the phone the day after he left.

Despite being miles apart, we spent countless hours on FaceTime over the summer, getting to know each other on a deeper level.

Tyler visited Utah for a weekend, and Mia traveled to Texas to spend time with him as well. These moments together strengthened our relationship and proved how meaningful every moment together could be.

Tyler joined the Slabaugh family on their beach trip, and they loved him!

Soon after Tyler's parents came out to Utah and Mia got to meet them and they loved her!

Reuniting after months of long-distance was everything we hoped for and more! The time apart had made the bond stronger, and with confidence in the relationship, the decision to get engaged felt right. Tyler proposed at the park where we went hiking on our (second) first date! We are so excited for all the memories to come!
