What is the deadline for the RSVP?

Where will the ceremony and reception be held?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Cape Horn Estates.
Where is Cape Horn Estates located?
The wedding venue is located at 81 Woodard Creek Rd Stevenson, WA 98648 which is a beautiful 45-55 minute drive along the gorge from Portland.
Which hotel do you prefer we stay at?
We prefer that you stay at the Hyatt House. Our goal is to book at least 70% of the rooms that are held for our guests! Additionally, we will be hosting the after party at this hotel. The room sizes are twice a big as the rooms that are held at the Marriot and they provide free breakfast and Wi-Fi.
The plus side to the Marriot is that if you're a Marriott Member they will more than likely upgrade your room for no additional cost!
Will there be transportation to and from the venue?
Yes. There will be several shuttles that will pick up and drop off all guests at the Hyatt House before and after the event.
Shuttle #1 - will depart from the Hyatt House at 9:00 a.m. and arrive at the venue at 10:00 a.m. This shuttle is only for the wedding party, their partners (if they want to arrive this early), a handful of family members (that are arriving early to help decorate the venue) and the decorations themselves.
Shuttles #2 and #3 will pick up at the Hyatt House at 3:00 p.m. and arrive at the venue at 4:00 p.m.
Shuttle #1 - will depart from the venue at 10:30 and arrive at the Hyatt House 11:30. This shuttle is only for the wedding party, their partners, and a select group of friends.
Shuttle #2 - will depart from the venue at 10:30 and arrive at the Hyatt House 11:30. This will be for the majority of the wedding guests.
Shuttle #3 -will depart from the venue at 11:00 and arrive at the Hyatt House 12:00. This shuttle is for the rest of the wedding guests who are kind enough to stay and help "close" the venue, and the decorations.
What time will the shuttle pick up guests?
Shuttle will arrive around 2:45 and depart no later than 3:00.
What is the drive like from the city to the venue?
During the day, the drive is beautiful and scenic. There is a significant portion of the drive on a winding two lane road. In the evening, especially after a long day of celebrating, this could seen as dangerous. We will be providing transportation for everyone that does not want to drive. I urge those of you who do choose to rent a car and drive to have a 100 % sober designated driver. We want everyone to make it home safe. <3
What time should I arrive at the venue?
If you are not taking the shuttles, which I highly suggest you do, please arrive at 4:00. The ceremony will begin at 4:30.
What is the dress code?
Semi- Formal
Will the event take place indoor or outdoor?
The entire event will take place outdoors.
What will the weather be like?
The weather will be sunny and between 70-90 degrees.
Look up Stevenson, WA on the weather app for more accurate temperatures.
Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Parking is limited. Please carpool with other guests if you choose to drive. There will also be a shuttle to transport guests before and after the ceremony and reception.
Will alcohol be served at the reception?
Yes, we will have an open bar with several options for beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after party?
Our wedding reception will end between 9:30 - 10:30pm PST. There will be an after party at the Hyatt House once we leave the venue between 11:00-3:00 am
Will there be a rehearsal dinner?
There will not be a traditional rehearsal dinner as there will not be a traditional wedding rehearsal. However, we do hope to have dinner with anyone who arrives the night before on the rooftop of our apartment. We have rented the social lounge and will be serving pizza, salad, snack, desserts, and NA drinks.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, you can bring children to the venue and the reception. Respectfully, we ask that children under the age of 5 not attend the ceremony. I want this short span of time to come uninterrupted. There is a building on the property that contains the Brides Room, Grooms Room, Restrooms, and a secondary ceremony venue if rain where to appear. Kids will be asked to be supervised within this building during the ceremony. Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
Will there be childcare during the ceremony?
I am working on hiring a reliable teacher friend to care for the kiddos during the ceremony. This way all of our family and friends can enjoy the ceremony without interruptions. If you are not comfortable with this, someone from your party will be asked to watch the children you bring in the secondary venue during the ceremony.
Can I bring a plus one?
The wedding invitation will indicate the number of guest invited alongside you.
How will I RSVP?
The official invitation will include a website link that you will RSVP through. Once we create the official invitation we will attach the link here so that you can RSVP this way as well.
What date should I RSVP by?
April 6th, 2024 or earlier. The earlier the better. :)
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
There will be a variety of food served at our wedding. We intend to have vegan, vegetarian, and non vegetarian options available.
Where should we bring or send wedding gifts.
If you are able to travel with your gift, please bring them to the venue! If not, you can check out our wedding registry and choose a gift that will be mailed to our apartment or a fund to donate to! You may also choose to mail a gift directly to our apartment at:

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
Yes and no. You may take all the photos you'd like before and after the ceremony. I ask that you take the "unplugged" wedding request seriously. We spend so much time on our phones and behind the camera. I request that you stay unplugged and experience this authentic moment first hand. <3
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Yes, of course! Please be considerate of those photographed with you.
