Our Wedding

Jared and I met on December 18, 2021. I know this because when he proposed he asked me what day it was and I said “Wednesday?” to which he replied, “Yes, but it’s the day I met you three years ago.” Now you’re probably thinking, “Wow, Jared remembered that? That is so sweet of him!” He remembers that date because it’s the day he bought his very big and very loud (also very pretty) white pickup. Looking back on that day, I remember my brother-in-law going to Iowa to help one of his friends buy a pick up. They got back pretty late and in walked this tall, curly headed, and obnoxiously loud guy. I’ll admit, I thought he was pretty cute and I was really drawn to him. I knew that he had been friends with my sister and brother-in-law for a while, yet he and I hadn’t crossed paths– until that night. Little did I know that he noticed me just as much as I noticed him.&nbsp; Falling in love wasn’t some big, dramatic thing– it happened in all the little moments between us over the course of three years. From dating briefly in early 2022 and again in late 2023; Jared remained steady in telling me that he was going to marry me someday. Our timing was off in the beginning, but from the moment we met, something started growing between us — steady and certain, we finally landed in the right spot.&nbsp; The moment that changed for us was in November of 2023, I planned a solo trip to go see German Christmas Markets. Of course, those of you that know Jared, he was not a fan of me wanting to fly halfway across the world and tour three foreign cities alone. So, six days before I left we changed my trip. He accompanied me and seeing that level of spontaneity in him, changed everything for me. I love traveling, and with him, this trip felt special and I knew I wanted to be able to experience the world together.&nbsp; We reconnected in March of 2024 and our love for one another grew fast. We started talking about the future and I began to shift my idea of what future looked like by falling in love with his way of life. Slow mornings on our acreage, sipping coffee while the world woke up around us. Long, meandering conversations that somehow turned into hours. The way he taught me about farming, cattle, and machines—about patience, slowing down, and having a plan. And in return, I reminded him to enjoy being spontaneous, trying new things and places, and to see life through my eyes; fast and jam packed. Our life is the perfect amount of experiences, big moments and appreciating the little daily things for one another.&nbsp; Somehow, we found the perfect mix of adventure and stillness, of chasing dreams while soaking in the little things. With him, love feels like both a journey and a home—something that keeps unfolding, filled with laughter, learning, and moments that mean everything. Now, standing side by side, looking at this life we’re creating, we know this is just the beginning. The best stories take time to grow, and ours is only getting started.

From bonfire nights to unforgettable moments during our college days in Kearney, we’ve shared countless stories and memories that have made us sisters by choice. She’s my person in every sense of the word—my constant, my sounding board, and the truest friend I could ask for. I can’t imagine this day without her by my side as my Maid of Honor.

Tayler and Jacey are my youngest sisters, but they’ve also become two of my closest friends. Over the years, they’ve been my biggest cheerleaders, and without them, I may have never crossed paths with Jared. Countless long talks (and plenty of laughter) about this farmer helped shape the love story we’re celebrating today. Having them by my side means the world to me—and when you see them at the reception, be sure to buy them a drink… they’re probably the reason we’re all here! ;)

Sister Maids

More than cousins, Tekamah, Baylor, and Kya have been like sisters woven into my everyday life from their start of life. When I was younger, their home became mine too, and watching them grow into the beautiful young women they are today has been one of my greatest joys. Having them by my side as my “sister maids” is such a meaningful reminder of the love, laughter, and lifelong bond we share.

Danielle is Jared’s sister, but from the very beginning she’s felt like family to me too. She is sweet, kind, and one of the best sounding boards I could ever ask for. Jared has always looked up to her, and it’s easy to see why—her heart and wisdom shine through in everything she does. I feel so lucky to not only be gaining her as a sister-in-law, but also as a true friend, and I’m so grateful she’ll be standing by my side on this special day.

Jayden has been in my life since early childhood and holds such a special place in my heart. She was my very first true friend—the one who has always been there through every season. Her positivity, constant support, and ability to bring light in the darkest times have made her an irreplaceable part of my life. I feel so blessed to have her by my side on this day.

Samantha and I started off on the wrong foot at work, but one late night turned everything around—and we’ve been the best of friends ever since. She’s the calm to my chaos, always rational and kind, and constantly pushes me to be a better person. I’m so grateful to have her by my side.

Carly and I first met in the back of a pickup on the way to Country Stampede, not knowing that a wonderful friendship was about to begin. Since then, she’s become one of the least judgmental and most genuine people I know. I was so lucky to stand by her side on her wedding day, and now I’m grateful she’s standing by mine. With Carly, I can laugh endlessly, enjoy a night out, or simply veg on her couch in total silence—and it’s always the best time.

You know how sometimes you meet someone in adulthood and just know they’re going to be your friend? That’s exactly how it was with Lauren. I admire her in so many ways—literally and figuratively—and I’m so proud to call her my friend. I was lucky to stand by her side on her wedding day, and now I’m grateful she’s standing by mine. Lauren has one of the kindest hearts, is my sounding board in life and real estate, and always keeps me grounded (even when I’m a little insane). We love that our boys can entertain each other while we enjoy true girl time together.

For our wedding, we’re asking guests to dress in formal or semi-formal attire. "Black Tie Optional" means you are welcome to wear a tuxedo or a formal gown if you’d like, but it’s also perfectly acceptable to dress in a dark suit or elegant cocktail dress. Please refrain from anyone in your party wearing white. Think polished, classic, and celebratory!

Dress Code

We kindly request that only the guests listed on your invitation attend. You will find the invitees on the RSVP portion on the Knot. Please note that invitations are intended for the individuals named, and we ask that children or partners not listed be respectfully excluded. Space is limited, and we hope you understand our wish to keep the day focused on celebrating our beginning as the Future Mr. and Mrs. Jared Dose.

Additional Guests

Cocktail hour will not be hosted by the couple. The reception will be fully hosted by the couple. Tip to the bartenders is included in our hosted bar because we want you to have a fantastic night! New Years Eve champagne will be hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dose to ring in the New Year. The couple plans to continue celebrating the New Year after the reception and invites you to come along!

We all know Downtown Parking isn't fun. However, there are plenty of garages, open spaces, and you can park at the hotel. You should not have to walk more than a block or two to find parking.
