Some might say, “finally,” when they receive this invitation. Micah would say, “called it.” We are very excited to spend our wedding day with you. It has been 21 years of anticipation no Boy Meets World story arc could match. And now that Micah has referenced Boy Meets World at least once, Jenna is hopping on to start this puppy.

After 21 years of knowing each other, a deep friendship spanning the last 7 of those years, and a not-yet-requited love has landed the both of us here getting married! Though our families have known each other for quite some time, we were more interested in hanging out with each others sibling’s more than one another for most of our childhood, but in high-school there came a time when Micah started getting nervous around me. As per usual, I was not aware—much to his chagrin. However, my man is patient, kind, stubborn, loving, steady, and the friend of all friends. He loves wildly and prays constantly. Turns out—the skinny kid is the love of my days and the partner I’ve longed and prayed for even when I didn’t know it. But since I used my one allowed Oxford comma, it’s Micah’s turn.

When I moved to college, my relationship with Jenna moved too. Because of the difficulty in finding a rhythm, we didn’t spend much time together. We both started doing our own thing, and gradually those things began to coincide more and more. By senior year I was working at Second Place and living at home again, which allowed me to hangout with Jenna more like the old days, except she was different. She was asking ME to hangout! She was into me! Finally. It only took 5 years, but I’ve always played the long game. I realized that our lives were changing, and I was here for it.

The change from friends to dating was definitely a learning curve for both of us. But struggling and fighting for our relationship is our “next right thing.” We have loved growing and learning from each other. All that to say, we want to invite you on the next leg of our journey. Each and everyone of you have impacted our lives and we want you to celebrate with us. This is not an ending but a continuation of a 7.5 year build up and integration of lives.
