Our relationship started a while back when Micah and I met each other through some mutual friends. We didn't keep in contact with each other or even talk to each other until we both worked on staff at Crystal Springs Camp. After applying to be a camp counselor, I saw that Micah was also going to be working at camp. I didn't know much about him, but we quickly got to know each other as we were randomly placed together to complete a lot of camp projects. What stood out to me about Micah was his knowledge and love for the Lord. Through many conversations, it didn't take long for our interest in each other to grow. Micah ended up asking me out, but I told him I wanted time (specifically, 2 weeks) to think about it. After talking with close friends and family, I decided that it wouldn't be so bad to get to know him. I guess you could say we hit it off well and I was so excited when Micah asked me to marry him. Not long after being engaged, Micah teased me and asked "Do you need time to think and pray about it?" I'm sure this will forever be something he teases me about.

We are so excited to see where the Lord leads us and cannot wait to begin our journey as Mr. and Mrs. Hoke!
