We encourage and welcome you to bring your kids!!!!! Note that they will not have their name on the RSVP due to not having a seat and meal at the reception!

We are so excited to have you join us for witnessing the sacrament of Holy Matrimony at mass! For Catholics in a state of grace who have fasted for an hour, you are invited and welcome to receive the Eucharist during mass. For non-Catholics, you are welcome to receive a blessing by crossing your arms over your chest, or you may remain seated in your pew. Whatever walk of life you are in, we are so happy you are here!!! The songs, readings, and prayers will be available for you during the ceremony.

The mass will begin at 1:00 in the afternoon, and we recommend to try and be there 10-15 minutes early if possible to get settled in and seated. We have no idea what the weather will be like (and with Iowa weather you never really know :)) so please be careful and plan accordingly!

St. Ambrose Cathedral is in downtown Des Moines located at the corner of High St. and 6th Ave. There is parking available behind (north of) the Cathedral and you can enter on 6th Ave. There is also parking to the left (west of) of the Cathedral that can be entered from High St. There is also street parking available on 6th Ave. (east of the Cathedral) and on Watson Powell Jr Pkwy (behind/north) of the Cathedral. A handicap accessible entrance is on the east side of Cathedral near 6th Avenue.

The Chateau has a big gravel parking lot that is located on the south side of the building. The road to the Chateau will lead into the parking lot. Again, the weather conditions will be unknown so please park carefully!

Even if you are only able to join us for the reception we would be more than happy to have you! Cocktail hour at The Chateau will begin at 2:00pm so feel free to snack, drink, and mingle until dinner and dance time!

Yes!!! At The Chateau (reception venue) there is a room upstairs that can offer more privacy/space if needed for any nursing moms/babies! Feel free to use this space as needed!
