AIRPORTS;

1. Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)

MXP is the best option, it is a major international airport and roughly 60km (1 hour by car) to Villa Porta.

(TOP TIP: If hiring a car, check which terminal your flight arrives/departs from and ensure your car rental is located at the same terminal)

2. Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY)

BGY is another good option with flights from lots of low-cost airlines - roughly 130km (2 hours by car).

3. Milan Linate Airport (LIN)

LIN is a smaller airport located closest to Milan city centre and offers flights primarily within Europe only - roughly 95km (1 hour 30 by car).

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS;

1. Car Rental

Renting a car is the most convenient option for reaching Villa Porta and allowing you to visit Stresa and explore the surrounding Lake Maggiore area.

If you’re planning to hire a car, please note that some rental companies in Italy may require an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) in addition to your license. We recommend checking the terms and conditions of your rental provider in advance to avoid any surprises!

2. Train

The nearest train station is Luino, located just a few kilometers from Villa Porta. Train services are available from Milan and other nearby cities.

3. Transfer

If you don't fancy driving or getting the train then there are transfers (up to 6 people) that can take you to/from the Airport. Please reach out to us if you're considering this option and we can help coordinate.

WEDDING DAY;
