The VMFA is a beautiful collection of art located right in the Museum District. Admission is free and the museum is open daily from 10am-5pm and until 9pm Wednesday-Friday. Go check out some of their awing collections, including Fabergé eggs, pieces of Monet, decade-spanning artwork, and even a real mummy!

Maymont is a 100-acre green space in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. You can enter the Gilded Age mansion or the immersive nature center for a small fee. For no charge, you can walk the grounds and explore the beautiful curated gardens, the interactive farm, and rescued animal habitats.
Belle Isle is an island in the middle of the James River in downtown Richmond, Belle Isle was acquired by William Byrd I in 1676 and it remained in the Byrd family for a century. The Park’s most popular site, it offers wooded paths, mountain biking trails, a bicycle skills area, historical sites, wheelchair-accessible fishing at the quarry pond, good sunbathing and a granite wall for rock climbing. Walk the 1.3-mile loop trail to explore the hidden gem. A walking suspension bridge spanning the James provides access from Historic Tredegar.
