Their story began in June of 2017 in Birmingham, Alabama. Mikey was playing soccer on a summer league team, and Amy was training for her last soccer season at UAB. They met briefly at a summer camp; they both happened to be working. Fast forward to February of 2020; Amy was in Jacksonville on a layover and had a friend living there at the time (shoutout Morgan Key). She treated Amy to a night out at the local beach bars. Sidenote: Morgan played soccer at UAB with Amy and also worked the summer camps with both of them. Mikey reluctantly decided to go out that night also because he had friends in town that dragged him out. They happened to all run into each other and got the opportunity to catch up. Mikey made sure not to part ways until he got Amy's Instagram.

One weekend in April, when Amy was in Jacksonville visiting Morgan, they decided to get a group together to go tubing down a river. Amy replied to one of Mikey's Instagram stories to send him an invite. He, of course, had work and couldn't come, but this was the beginning of their love story! They began messaging back and forth, and he eventually asked for her number. They texted for a few weeks, and he decided to come visit her in Boston for a weekend. This was peak COVID, so they had to get creative as most places were closed. They spent the weekend having picnics by the water and wandering around the city. For the next several months, they dated long-distance, with Amy going to Jacksonville any chance she could. By December 2020, Mikey had found a new job opportunity and was able to officially move up to Boston. After 3 1/2 wonderful years together, he popped the question in their favorite spot in their favorite city. They spent the weekend celebrating their love together, and now they can't wait to celebrate with you!
