Our Wedding

Our story began in the late fall of 2020 when we were introduced by mutual friends. Michael got my number from a friend after a group backyard bonfire where we hit it off. Michael reached out to me asking if he could take me to dinner before he went home for Thanksgiving and of course I happily agreed! We settled on DBA BBQ in Virginia Highlands and it was the best first date I had ever been on. It became very clear that Michael was different than anybody I had ever met before and I was so excited to see him again. After our first date, Michael and I saw each other as much as we possible could in the following weeks. On New Years Eve of 2020, Michael asked to make it official under the fireworks in Asheville, NC. It was truly a dream come true for me as we were already falling madly in love with each other! An amazing opportunity arose in Fall of 2021 for me to local travel nurse to a NICU in Athens, GA less than a year after we met. Michael supported me every step of the way even though we were apart from each other a lot due to busy schedules and the distance. Michael and I both have a passion for traveling and we began to go to amazing places together like Cabo San Lucas, Zion National Park, Sedona, Boston, and Colorado. Fast forward to the Summer of 2022 and another opportunity arose to go travel nurse in Tacoma, Washington (2,650 miles away). This was a true make or break point in our relationship and Michael supported me once again and it became very clear to us both that even huge decisions like this of moving across the country together were easy to make because of the love we had for another. Michael and I lived in Tacoma, Washington for 3 months and then moved to Colorado Springs for 6 months for another travel nursing contract. We made so many memories together in both of these places and truly had the time of our lives. In May of 2023, we decided to move back to Georgia. We bought our first home together in August of 2023 and finally gave our sweet boy, Harper, a backyard to run around in! God has truly blessed us and we are so overjoyed that He led us to one another. We cannot wait to begin the rest of our lives together and we are so excited to celebrate our love with everyone on June 14th, 2025!

Travel

We are getting married in beautiful downtown Roswell at Kimball Hall which is very close to Canton Street! Canton Street is full of fabulous restaurants and lots of places to shop! If you are wanting to spend some time exploring the area while you are in town, we recommend Ipp's Pastaria, Roux, and The Standard for great food! We hope you enjoy the Roswell area while you are in town as much as we have since we moved here!

The Avalon is a outdoor walkable community that has loads of shopping, great restaurants and even a movie theater! We enjoy this area for the occasional date night at MF Sushi Bar or Superica followed by Jeni's Ice Cream for dessert!About 10 minute drive from Hotel.

Avalon

Hiking trails that take you along the famous Chattahoochee River. We love the Chattahoochee River, it is where we first met and where we got engaged! We love shootin' the Hooch (tubing down the river) with friends during the summer! This address has two trailheads that take you along the rivers edge, a shorter 1.4 mile hike and a longer 3.4 mile hike. These hike's navigation is available on the All Trials app.The Trailhead is a little over 10 minutes from the Hotel.

Gold Branch Trailhead

Hiking Area/Trails to the historic Sope Creek Paper Mill ruins. This is a fun hiking area that is close to our home that we often take our Golden Retriever, Harper, to go get some energy out and explore the ruins with us! These hikes vary in length and difficulty, remember to bring water with you when hiking! The hikes are available in the All Trails app for live navigation.The Trailhead parking lot is about 20 minutes from the Hotel.

Sope Creek Trailhead Parking Lot

The Battery is the home of the Atlanta Braves' Stadium! This area has some shops, fun restaurants and some bars all within eyesight from the stadium! We love getting some food and a drink at the Battery before heading into the stadium to cheer on our Braves! We also enjoy just hanging out on a random weekend there with friends, the Battery is always a good time!The Battery is about 20-30 minutes from the Hotel but can vary on traffic conditions.
