Alma was born in the sunny city of Piura, in northern Peru. She pursued her dream of becoming a lawyer at the University of Piura, and during her fifth year, she moved to Lima to continue her studies at the University’s Capital Campus and to begin her work with law firms. She was building her career there until the second year of the pandemic, when life nudged her toward a new adventure: learning English in the United States. That journey led her to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she planned to stay for five months.

Just two weeks into her new life in the U.S., Alma downloaded Bumble—not looking for love, but simply hoping to practice her English with locals. Fate, however, had other plans.

Michael was born in Chicago and studied History at the University of Montana. He was always drawn to the outdoors and settled in Utah. He worked as an EMT then a Firefighter and Paramedic.

When he matched with Alma on Bumble in March of 2022, they had no idea how much their lives were about to change.

Their first date was at 3 Cups, a cozy coffee shop in Salt Lake City. They clicked instantly—conversation flowed easily, laughter came naturally, and something just felt right. One date turned into many, and before they knew it, they were exploring the world hand in hand.

Today, Alma continues working remotely for a law firm in Lima, and Michael is still with the same fire station. Together, they are building a life filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Alma nació en la ciudad de Piura, en el norte del Perú. Estudió Derecho en la Universidad de Piura, y durante su quinto año se mudó a Lima para continuar sus estudios en el Campus Lima de la Universidad y trabajar en estudios de abogados. Estuvo viviendo en Lima hasta el segundo año de la pandemia, cuando la vida la empujó hacia una nueva aventura: aprender inglés en el extranjero. Ese viaje la llevó a Salt Lake City, Utah, donde planeaba quedarse por cinco meses.

Dos semanas después de asentarse en la nueva ciudad, Alma descargó Bumble—no buscando el amor, sino simplemente con la intención de practicar su inglés con personas locales. Sin embargo, el destino tenía otros planes.

Michael nació en Chicago y estudió Historia en la Universidad de Montana. Siempre se sintió atraído por la naturaleza y se estableció en Utah. Trabajó como técnico en emergencias médicas, y actualmente trabaja como bombero y paramédico.

Cuando hizo “match” con Alma en Bumble en marzo de 2022, ninguno de los dos imaginaba cuánto iban a cambiar sus vidas.

Su primera cita fue en 3 Cups, una linda cafetería en Salt Lake City. Conectaron al instante: la conversación fluyó con facilidad, las risas surgieron de forma natural, y algo simplemente se sintió bien. Una cita se convirtió en muchas, y antes de darse cuenta, ya estaban explorando el mundo de la mano.

Hoy, Alma continúa trabajando de forma remota para un estudio de abogados en Lima, y Michael sigue en la misma estación de bomberos. Juntos, están construyendo una vida llena de aventuras, risas y recuerdos inolvidables.
