Michael and Brionna met on July 31, 2015 on a cruise to Bermuda. They continued to talk after they disembarked the ship and planned a trip to see each other again.

On August 23, 2015 John and Claudia, Michaels parents woke at 6am to drive from Connecticut to New Jersey to visit Brionna and her parents Hans and Patty. After a day on the boat, their story truly began.

For 4 years they dated long distance, seeing each other whenever they where able to. With the help of both of their wonderful parents they were able to see each other about once a month.

In September 2019, Michael moved to New Jersey and lived with Brionna's Aunt Heidi for 4 years. During that time they both graduated from college and started their careers, Michael in Accounting and Brionna as a Certified Medical Assistant.

In September 2023, Michael and Brionna moved into their first apartment with her chihuahua Annie.

On November 24, 2023 Michael proposed to Brionna while on a hike, with Louie, one of Michaels family dogs, and Annie at White Memorial, in Connecticut. This spot is very special to them both since it was the first of many hikes Michael and Louie would take Brionna on. A proposal was not Brionna's only suprise that day, her parents and their dog Ellie where at John and Claudia's house waiting for them when they got back from their hike.
