Mikey, a young and aspiring student, had grown weary of his job as a server. Determined to pursue his true passion, graphic design, he was ready to make a change. As if by magic, he received a phone call from a contact he had met through a former roommate. This contact knew someone named Alex, who was looking to hire a graphic designer for his company.

Initially skeptical, Mikey asked Alex to contact him directly. Alex did just that, and soon they had set up an interview and meeting. Alex asked Mikey to choose the location for their meeting, so they met at Philosophy Cafe in downtown Calgary. After an hour or two of discussing the opportunity, Alex convinced Mikey to come tour the workplace. By the end of the day, Mikey had secured a new position as a graphic designer at Yola Customs.

At Yola Customs, Mikey's main focus was designing graphics for fleets and company vehicles. He quickly learned how to operate the large format printer and the heat press for branding custom apparel. Mikey did everything, from designing to executing. By the time he graduated, he had even rebranded Yola Customs, redesigning literally everything in and out of the shop.

That summer, Alex decided to indulge in a bit of "monkey business" and bought an 18-foot Pioneer travel trailer. Eager to take it "boondocking," he began preparing the camper for a May long weekend trip to the crown lands. As Mikey walked past him preparing the camper, Alex asked if he wanted to join. Unsure about camping with his boss, Mikey initially declined. However, Alex was persistent, chasing Mikey around the shop until he promised to think about it.

After a night of contemplation, Mikey decided he should join Alex, reasoning that Alex, with no camping experience, needed someone to show him the ropes. So, the two went to Beaver Mines Campground. It was there, amidst the beauty of nature and the excitement of their adventure, that they fell in love.

Their journey, which began with a job interview, transformed into a beautiful partnership. Now, they are ready to start a new chapter in their lives together.
