Michael and Alejandra’s story began on April 22, 2022, when they matched on Hinge. Less than 24 hours later, Michael asked for Alejandra’s phone number and invited her on a date for that evening. Little did he know, Alejandra was planning to have a birthday party that night. Not wanting to flat-out say no, she jokingly invited him to join. Did we mention it was an Emo Nite party?

Michael surprisingly showed up and walked right into the house, where he saw Alejandra for the first time, playing flip cup with her friends. He ended up being one of the last people to leave. The next day, he texted her, apologizing for leaving a beer on the counter and offering to help clean up (although he knew the mess had already been taken care of). They spent the day with some of Alejandra’s closest friends, eating leftover tacos from the party.

The following day, Michael invited Alejandra to the beach, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Within just three days, they both decided to delete their Hinge apps. They played sick and skipped work that whole week to spend as much time together as possible. By May 4th, Michael asked Alejandra to officially be his girlfriend.

Fast forward two years and seven months, Michael proposed to Alejandra in her favorite place in the world: her mom’s hometown, Capilla de Guadalupe, Mexico.
