How do I to get to Laurencekirk and The Dickson Hall?
Laurencekirk is a small town, roughly half way between Aberdeen and Dundee. It is easily accessible via car on the A90, or by train.
The Dickson Hall is a two minute walk from the Laurencekirk Train Station, and we recommend this for travel to and from the event, if commuting from Aberdeen, Dundee or further afield. At the time of writing (March 2024), train schedules suggest there will be a train departing Laurencekirk at 23:58, and arriving in Aberdeen at 00:32. However, tickets are not available to purchase until 12-weeks prior, on the 15th of June 2024.
If booking an alternative train, please be mindful that not all trains will stop in Laurencekirk, so please check the stops before booking.
Where to stay in and around Laurencekirk?
There are a number of Bed and Breakfast, and Airbnb's in and around Laurencekirk, such as the highly recommended Rowanlea Lodge in Marykirk.
However, we also recommend The Glenesk Hotel or Panmure Arms in Edzell (15 min taxi from Laurencekirk) orThe Marykirk Hotel (8 minute taxi).
