Our Wedding

Our story begins in a place we never imagined we’d find each other – on a Christian dating app called Christian Mingle. Both of us, at different points in our lives, had been praying for someone who shared our love for Christ and our commitment to building a Christ-centered relationship. We knew the journey of faith was just as important as the journey of love, and we each desired someone who would walk alongside us in that. Michael and Carly both had joined Christian Mingle, hesitant but hopeful. We were looking for a partner who not only shared mutual faith but was passionate about pursuing Christ above all else. Little did we know, God had already gone ahead of us. Our first conversation felt like an answered prayer. From the start, we shared a connection that felt guided by something much greater than ourselves. It wasn’t just about getting to know one another; it was about sharing our faith, our values, and our desires to honor God with everything we did – especially in a relationship. We were so encouraged by each other’s testimonies of how we came to faith in Christ. But there was one challenge: distance. Michael lived in England, and Carly was in Boston. The miles between us could have been a barrier, but instead, we saw it as an opportunity to grow deeper in faith and in love and in self control. We learned to rely on God’s timing, trusting that if He had brought us together, He would give us the patience and strength to make it work. Even though we were miles apart, we spent countless hours on phone calls and sending messages of encouragement and scripture verses and a regular Bible study. Through these moments, we built a foundation that was grounded not just in love for one another, but in our love for Christ. And then came the day Michael knew, without a doubt, that Carly was the one God had prepared for him. When he proposed, it was not just a promise of a future together, but a promise to always keep Christ at the center of our marriage. Today, as we stand before God and our loved ones, we are filled with gratitude. We look back on the journey that brought us together – a journey of faith, patience, and trust. Christ has been the most important part of our relationship from the beginning, and He will continue to be the foundation of our marriage as we embark on this next chapter. Our wedding day is not just a celebration of our love for each other; it is a celebration of God’s faithfulness in bringing us together and guiding us every step of the way. As we commit to each other in marriage, we commit first and foremost to Christ, knowing that He will always be the center of our love, our home, and our family. This is just the beginning of our forever, and we can’t wait to see all the ways God will continue to work in and through our relationship. We’re not just husband and wife – we’re partners in Christ, and we are so excited to walk this journey together.

We ask that guests be in the church by 2:45, as our ceremony will start promptly at 3pm.

Between about 3:30-4:30, we will mingle around the church and go over to the Public Gardens together after! Whoever would like to join, we’d love to have you in our photo period.

Photo period

We will travel from Newbury Street, to the North End, and begin our cocktail hour around 5pm there. We will have rides available for those who need transportation for about 4:45pm. If you are driving and want to take your own car, there is valet at the restaurant.

Transport to dinner

We will begin ‘mocktail’ hour at about 5pm! Everyone can find their seats at the restaurant and chit chat, relax, and enjoy some yummy hors d’oeuvres.
