Not a lot of stories with happy endings start with a rail replacement bus, but this one does.

One sunny April afternoon, after two days of playing text ping-pong, Michael got on a rail replacement bus to Taunton, after arranging a date about 15 hours earlier.

Little did he know he was about to meet his future wife.

We don't do things by halves, and within a few days, we knew that this was something special, but both having been burned before, we tried to take it slowly. We failed on most counts, as we have approximately zero chill.

We've weathered a lot together over the last seven years:

Four house moves between us

Three trips to A&E (mostly for Cat, the woman needs a crash helmet)

Adopted two dogs

Planned one wedding

We are so lucky to have such loving friends and family around us, who have supported us, and watched us grow as a couple. And who almost unanimously responded with 'FINALLY!' when we got engaged at a Springsteen gig in 2023.
