Passports

Don't forget your passports! Please double check to be sure your passport does not expire anytime after February  of 2025. You will not be able to travel into Aruba if you are within 6 months of your passport's expiration date. Passports have been taking a bit longer than usual to arrive, so we recommend applying or renewing as soon as you can!

ED Card

As part of the process that allows admission to Aruba, the Aruba ED-Card (Embarkation-Disembarkation Card) needs to be filled in and approved. It is a mandatory step for every passenger traveling to the island of Aruba. This process is quick, easy, and free. We usually fill it out a couple days before we leave. Make sure to screenshot or print the QR code you receive after you complete your card. They will not allow you on the plane without it!

Hotels & Accommodations

Although our ceremony and reception will be taking place at The Divi's Sandpiper, we will be staying at the RIU Antillas on Palm Beach.

The RIU Antillas is an all inclusive, adults only resort. It is in the perfect location being across the street from tons of bars, restaurants, and shops. The beach can't be beat and it also has a fun swim up bar that provides a lot of entertainment. They also just finished up renovations last year, so the rooms are nice and new, and they come with a fridge full of beer/pop/bottled water, and a mini bar that gets stocked as much as you'd like!

If you would like to stay at the RIU with us, our travel agent Crystal can help you get booked into our room block with our special rates.  Her email address is Crystal@wanderlustjetsetter.com. You will just email her and let her know you want to book a room at the RIU antillas for Erika VanWitzenburg & Mike Janke's room block, with the amount of days you plan to stay. We will be staying Wednesday 8/6-Wednesday 8/13. She will email you back with the next steps to book. Your room will need to be booked and fully paid for by May 25, 2025.

Alternative Hotels And Accommodations

Although we would LOVE for all our family and friends to stay at the RIU with us, we understand this may not work for everyone. From the fanciest of resorts like the Ritz-Carlton, to the cutest little airbnbs in town, Aruba truly has something for everyone's budget, vacation styles, and travel plans! Feel free to reach out to us or Crystal at Crystal@wanderlustjetsetter.com for any information on where to stay in Aruba!

Flights

There is only one airport on the island, Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). It is about a 17 minute drive to the RIU Antillas.

Since many people will be traveling on different days from multiple locations, please feel free to book your flight with whatever airline you prefer at your convenience.

If you are staying at the RIU Antillas, your transportation to and from the airport is included with your stay.

Getting Around On The Island

We will be providing shuttles for everyone to get us to and from the wedding safely.

We highly recommend you get out and explore during your time in Aruba! There are no ubers or lyft on the island, but there are plenty of taxis. Taxi prices are set and regulated by the government.

We love to beach hop, and come and go as we please, so we always rent a car while in Aruba. It is very easy to get around on the island. Crystal at Crystal@wanderlustjetsetter.com can help set you up with a car rental if you chose to go this route!
