Our Wedding

Our love story began in the most unexpected place…a Facebook group. What started as two years of playful, innocent flirting from a distance; me in Cleveland, him in Louisville, grew into a deep friendship. He was funny, fine, and most importantly, he loved the Lord. When the pandemic hit, we were both working from home. I joked, “All I need is Wi-Fi!” and he had it! 😂 In March 2020, I took a leap of faith, drove down full of hope (and nerves), and that visit changed everything. One week eventually turned into forever. But love isn’t always a straight line. In 2023, we hit a breaking point and separated. It was one of the hardest seasons of our lives. We spent almost a year apart, healing, praying, going to therapy, and drawing closer to God. And just when we thought the story might be over, God stepped in. He restored what was broken and brought us back together…stronger, healthier, and more in love than ever. Now, we’re living proof that when God writes your love story, even the plot twists have purpose. Today, we’re married and walking in our redemption story. ~We are The Kirkseys
