Attire

We request that you dress in semi formal attire. If you're someone who enjoys dressing to theme- think garden party :)

Accomodation

We recommend staying in Southwest Harbor (closest to the ceremony) or Bar Harbor (closest to the reception) but really anywhere on the island works great if you have access to a car!

Breakfast

Milagro in Southwest Harbor, Cafe This Way in Bar Harbor, or the Asticou Hotel in Northeast Harbor.

Lunch

Travelin' Lobster for a classic lobster roll (Bar Harbor or Town Hill) or Mother's Kitchen if Lobster's not your thing (Town Hill)

Dinner

If you're interested in a more casual restaurant we recommend Harbor Table or Harbor Cottage Inn (both in Southwest Harbor)

And Little Fern (Southwest Harbor) or Dhalia's (Northeast Harbor) if you're looking for a nicer evening :)

For a swim

Mikey- the Bluffs at Echo Lake

Sarah- the Cliffs at Long Pond

For a hike

Mikey- Beehive

Sarah- Beech Mountain

For a walk

Mikey-Ship Harbor Trail

Sarah- Little Long Pond

For shopping

Mikey- Bar Harbor (Cadillac Mountain Sports, Cool as a Moose, and Window Panes)

Sarah- Northeast Harbor (Swallowfield, Lisa Hall, and the Kimball Shop)

For a scenic drive

Mikey- Sargent's Drive (Northeast Harbor)

Sarah- Park Loop Road (requires day pass) (Bar Harbor)

Closest airport

Bangor International Airport is 1hr 15min away. Cabs are available at the airport but can be expensive. We recommend renting a car so you can explore the island as well :)

Parking

Each of our gorgeous venues will have parking available. The Charlotte Rhoades Butterfly Garden has limited parking but there is additional parking across the street at the coffee shop, which will be closed during our event. Please be sure NOT to park near the liquor store as they will tow.
