Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS?

A: We would love it if everyone stayed on site at the Trailside Inn. Our vision for our wedding was a weekend where we would get to spend time with everyone all together. If for some reason you are planning to stay offsite, non hotel guests are required to leave the property each evening at 10pm.

Q: WAIT, THE HOTEL WEBSITE WON'T LET ME BOOK FOR YOUR WEDDING WEEKEND!

A: Did you use our promo code "aug2"? The hotel is closed for all reservations during our wedding weekend, except for our guests. Please note, the hotel has a 2 day minimum (Friday/Saturday) for their reservations. If you are able to come in early, you can also add Thursday night to your booking.

Q: ARE THERE ANY OTHER EVENTS THAT I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT AROUND THE WEDDING?

A: Please see the wedding weekend schedule. We are planning on a Friday night welcome gathering in lieu of a rehearsal dinner followed by S'mores around the fire. In addition, there will be a light brunch on Sunday morning.

Q: CAN I BRING A DATE/KIDS?

A: Due to limited capacity at the venue, we are not able to accommodate plus ones at this time. Your invitation will indicate all invited guests. We love your kids, but we would love to give you a night off to spend with us! We understand the difficulties of finding child care, however we are limiting children to those in our ceremony.

Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL/ IS IT BYOB?

A: You are welcome to bring your favorites drink for Friday night festivities. Due to Vermont Liquor laws, all alcohol drinks during cocktail hour and the reception must be served by our caterer on Saturday.

Q: I HAVE A DIETARY RESTRICTION, WHAT WILL I BE ABLE TO EAT?

A: We are accounting for our gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan family and friends in our planning. If you have any additional dietary restrictions, please let us know.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A: Most of the events will be on grass, so feel free to dress in comfortable, grass-friendly shoes. Please note temperatures tend to dip at night, and since the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside you might want to bring a jacket or wrap. Please no jeans or shorts.

Q: SO YOU'RE TELLING ME I SHOULD BRING A WATER BOTTLE?

A: Because this is the Green Mountain state, our hotel strives to be very eco-friendly. As such, they discourage the use of single use plastic water bottles. We encourage our guests to bring their own water bottles for use during the weekend. The hotel provides ample filtered water for your enjoyment.
