Well to start off this story only begins because two people swiped right......
Michael and Carrie met online like every other millennial couple. We had talked for a couple weeks before Michael finally got the courage to ask Carrie out on a date. We spent the night talking about our hobbies over Pitch pizza and drinking mules. Michael knew at that moment he was going to marry her, but Carrie needed a little more time. Over the next 2 years, Michael and Carrie continued to build their relationship. Carrie sold her acreage in Murray, NE, moved into Michael's house in Hooper, NE and started a new job in the area. They both knew they wanted a house outside of town with as many acres as they could afford. After 2 different offers that we were outbid on; Michael came up with the motto third time is the charm and they continued to look for farms. Together they purchased 25 acres from the former Hillside Diary outside of Uehling, NE. With a bunch of updating and a new name, Windsor Ridge Farms was born and they have finally found their forever home.
Our engagement, did not go according to Michael's plan but ultimately the answer was YES!
Michael's original plan was to propose in our east pasture while feeding the cows. That day Carrie had to work late and was tried from work, so she asked Michael to feed the cows while she fed the goats. Michael hesitantly fed the cows and then begged Carrie to come out and help him in the shop after she was done with chores. Carrie refused and said it was "too cold." Michael then decided to change his plans. Our were plans to go to Hard Rock in Sioux City on Friday night and the next day go look at side by sides. With Michael's inability to keep a poker face and being so nervous; he decided to just ask in the front yard before they left. Carrie's Response was are you joking right now? Michael was holding the ring box upside down, but the ultimate response was YES!
