Our Wedding

We met the way many modern couples meet, on Hinge! Our first date was on a blazing hot day in the redwood grove at the UC Davis Arboretum, but we forgot how sweaty we were on our walk because the conversation flowed so naturally. When we found we had a mutual love of Thai food, the spark continued!

Over the years, we've had many fun adventures together, including paddleboarding, hiking, camping, and playing with our pets (including Carly the dog, Coco the cat, and the newest edition, little troublemaker Buster). Recently we had an amazing time in Thailand, including seeing spectacular wildlife at two national parks. Robyn was impressed with Michael's knowledge of the Thai language and culture.

Michael proposed to Robyn at the end of June 2025 at Lake Natoma State Park, our local hiking spot, with Carly in attendance. We're so excited to take the next step in our partnership and share it with our treasured family and friends!

Dress Code

Foresthill is a charming old mining town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We have included several accommodation options below in town as well as some in the closest nearby city of Auburn. It is around 1 hour from the Sacramento airport and 20 minutes from Auburn. Foresthill is at around 2000 feet elevation. It should be nice and sunny in May but could get chilly at night.
