Our first date was in August 2017. Drinks at 5 Points Bar, dinner at Nomikai, and dancing at Splash, all in downtown San Jose - just a few blocks from where we'll tie the knot.

We both knew pretty quickly that this was something special. But it wasn't until the end of October that we each decided we were the ones for each other. We've called each other "Boyfriend" ever since that fateful day, and there are no plans to stop once we're married.

Soon, our families met, we shifted our date night spot to Haberdasher, and we settled into the routine of loving each other. We feel like family in each other's families, and at home whenever we're together - along with our pets, Dublin and Z.

No modern love story is complete without a pandemic chapter, and Covid brought our relationship the ultimate test. We passed with flying colors, and we're grateful that our memories of this time are filled with one another. We're some of the lucky ones, for sure.

In October 2022, exactly five years after we started calling each other Boyfriend, Michael got down on one knee at Haberdasher, and popped the question with a bouquet and a bottle of champagne.

We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
