After returning home from a tour in Latvia, Mike went to a reunion celebration hosted by Stephane Caille (who he had been in Latvia with) and his wife Ann Caille (one of Lindsay’s best friends)

Ann, not so discreetly, thought this guy needs to meet Lindsay. She snapped a quick pic and sent it to Lindsay. Though Mike did catch her taking the picture she also showed him one of her. 
Each of them told her yes and agreed to meet each other for a double date with Ann and Steph. 

The dates never ended…in fact it became a never ending date when Lindsay moved in with Mike in 2020.

Mikes next posting was to Ottawa, so they sold the house in Petawawa and found their first home together in Kemptville. Here they went through many of life’s ups and downs, including Covid. 

After a few years Mike got another posting, this time half way across the country to Saskatoon. Again, they sold their house and found another new home together. 


On May 4/24, they had a date to a nice restaurant in Saskatoon. Of course Lindsay took longer to get ready but as she came down the stairs there was Mike with the open ring box. It was an instant teary yes.
