What is the attire?
We encourage cocktail attire-- suits and ties for men, cocktail dresses or dressy separates for women. No preferred colors, just wear what is comfortable for you!
Why Estes Park?
We had our second date at Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, so it is a special place for us. Estes Park gives the feel of being up in the Rocky Mountains while only being an hour and change from Denver. We want our guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery and charm of Estes Park and have the feeling of a getaway destination wedding.
How will I get to and from the wedding venue once I am in Estes Park?
Good question! Ride services such as Lyft and Uber do not operate in Estes Park. Della Terra has space for parking and allows cars to be left overnight if needed.
There will be a shuttle that will stop in 3 locations around Estes Park before the ceremony and after the reception. You can view a picture of the route at the bottom of this page. The shuttle will first stop at the Stanley Hotel at 3:30 PM, then the Wheel Bar in downtown Estes at 3:45, and lastly at Riverstone Resorts at 4:00. Please be prompt if you intend to use the shuttle!
What will the weather be like? What should I pack to wear in May?
Weather in the mountains can be a bit unpredictable in May, so the key is to bring layers! The highs can range between 50-75 degrees, and the lows can be in the 30s. The wedding will include both indoor and outdoor components, so be sure to dress for both.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony? When will the event end?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm, but we recommend that you arrive 30 minutes early to find your way to the ceremony site and admire the beautiful scenery at Della Terra. The reception should end around 11pm.
Can we bring our kids?
We love your kids, but this is an adult-only event. Enjoy a night out with us free of responsibilities!
When should we make our reservations for accommodations?
Keep in mind that our wedding will take place on Memorial Day weekend, so Estes Park may be a bit more busy than usual. When you are sure that you're able to make it, think about making reservations shortly after. The earlier, the better!
Is there anything I should be sure to bring?
Della Terra requires you to bring an ID if you would like to drink from the bar and will not serve those who appear under 40 without it. Also bring cash tips for the bar staff if you feel inclined as well as layers for the temperature drops that tend to happen when the sun goes down.
