This love story begins in Fall of 2016 as Heather and Michael met in Denver. After talking for a few months, their first official date was at Bentfork in Loveland over wine and appetizers. On December 31, 2016 Michael asked Heather if he could tell his friends we were 'official' and Heather said yes. Michael does not remember this sober conversation so they may never agree when it was official. In Jan 2017, Heather and Michael attended the Wine Festival in Estes-both will say this was such a fun weekend and that was the weekend they knew they would be together for awhile.

With Heather living in Loveland and Michael living in Denver it made it hard to spend time together. They spent most weekends together checking out new spots in Denver, going to events, or traveling. Michael and Heather's favorite places include Steamboat, Maui, Napa, Chicago (for the pizza) and Nashville.

After commuting 45 minutes to an hour each way on weekends to see each other, Michael moved up to Loveland in August 2018. Although Michael had initial shock from moving out of the city he now loves Northern Colorado. Michael and Heather love spending time with their 4 year old, Aria, hanging out with friends, going to local breweries/wineries, checking out new restaurants and golfing together (Heather attempts to golf).

As Michael knew he wanted to marry Heather, she had no idea. They had multiple conversations about how in time it would work out, but Heather had no idea when that time would come. On Friday March 13, 2020 Heather, Michael, Aria, and Heather's family went to dinner for her birthday and then Michael and Heather had a night on the town. Thankfully Michael and Heather were able to go out as Monday afternoon everything shut down due to Covid19. Michael then became nervous with everything closed, as that next weekend he had big plans. On Friday March 20 although everything was closed Heather insisted on still going to Estes Park for 'her birthday' which little did she know Michael was going to propose. That next morning Michael, Heather, and Aria were going to get out and take a walk in downtown Estes Park. After walking down by the river, getting coffee, and Aria sleeping in the stroller, Michael asked Heather to turn around and he was on one knee! Heather was more than shocked and could not believe what was happening. Heather will tell you she doesn't remember what Michael said as the shock was so surreal. Thankfully she got ready that day! 2020 was an eventful year from the engagement to Covid19 and spending more time than planned in the house together, but one thing learned was that Michael and Heather were right in 2017 when they knew they loved each other and the best is yet to come!
