Visit this scenic town that is surrounded by orange and citrus orchards, at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Downtown Exeter is famous for their many murals, so make sure to stroll around their streets. Exeter also has multiple antique stores that are fun to browse through.

Three Rivers, California

(30 min. east of Visalia)

From Exeter, drive up into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Along the way you'll pass Lake Kaweah and the many wildflowers growing along the hillsides during this time of year. If you enjoy ice cream, make sure to buy some at Reimer's in Three Rivers.

Kingsburg, California

Enjoy Kingsburg's cute Swedish downtown with its boutiques, coffee shops, and attractions. As a fun attraction, make sure to locate their water tower; it's in the shape of a Swedish-style teapot.

Clovis, California

If you enjoy antique stores, bookstores, coffee shops, and older buildings, make sure to visit Old Town Clovis in the historic part of Clovis.

Grant Grove Village, Kings Canyon National Park

Take a trip up to the mountains to enjoy the snow and the majestic beauty of the famous Sequoia trees. (Side note: this is the place where Michael and Stacy got engaged!)

Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park

Drive north to see the famous sites of Yosemite Valley. The scenery may be even more breathtaking this time of year with a fresh covering of snow in the valley and on the mountain tops. To see a great view of Yosemite Valley with Half Dome in the distance, park at the Tunnel View Vista.

California Central Coast Beaches

Enjoy the views of the California's central coastline as found at Cayucos Beach, Pismo Beach, and Morro Bay, just to name a few. The California poppies (California's State Flower) are typically covering the hillsides during this time of year, which is always beautiful to see.
