Mike and Sammi both went to the University of Minnesota Duluth - just days before Sammi graduated in 2019, they ran into each other at Mike's work and Sammi's most visited store: University Liquor. When arguing over what type of alcohol to buy with Lindsey, a voice agreed with Sammi. Mike!!

After checking out at the liquor store, she fangirled over how hot this "liquor store guy" was. Lindsey took fate into her own hands and went back to University Liquor, got Mike's number for Sammi, and from that day until their first date, his number lived in Sammi's phone as "Hot Mike."

Hot Mike and Sammi started dating about a month after meeting and Sammi immediately was granted "mom" status to his (now their) dog, Benny. After moving back in with her mom after college, Mike asked Sammi to move into his house in Duluth with his 4 college buddies. For some reason, Sammi accepted and moved into a college boy's house.

After an amazing summer in Duluth with Mike and Benny, Sammi found a job and moved to Boston in the Fall of 2019 to then get trapped in a Southie apartment alone in early 2020 due to covid and being laid off. After many FaceTime dates, long distance chats, and 6 months apart, their family was reunited! Mike, Sammi, and Benny lived together again in Dorchester.

They got their first apartment together in the summer of 2021 and Sammi was able to convince Mike to get a cat - Nacho! Shortly after this, they moved into their first home (still in Dorchester) in 2022 and the rest is history!

Sammi and Mike spend their free time playing softball, cooking (and eating) food, golfing, and admiring their beautiful animals. Mike and Sammi are now living happily as the bestest of friends.
