Lucy and Michi had been bumping into each other for a couple of years before Michi finally decided to go for it and ask Lucy on a date. For their first date, he had two ideas: hike up a mountain or get a glass of wine at a local restaurant. He was pretty sure what Lucy would prefer of the two, but she surprised him by insisting they do the mountain hike. A couple of hours of walking, talking, and looking up at the stars in the countryside of Germany, and the rest is history.

After a year featuring lots of airline travel, new friends, a few German lessons, and multiple hikes (and glasses of wine in nice restaurants) Michi proposed that he and Lucy ditch the long distance and spend the rest of their lives together. She said yes, and now we get to have the party of the year.

Lucy and Michi look forward to celebrating their love, especially with all of the friends and family who have supported them - not only in their relationship but on the journey they've both been on to get here. Roll on the 5th of April!
