Mic and Matty met in 2020 when their love of country music, chick flicks and moustaches provided the perfect base for a solid friendship! They then spent a week living out of a vehicle in the Californian desert together ensuring no stone between them was left unturned. This friendship even expanded to a couples holiday to Kalkan in 2023, although both girls agree, the real romance was between Mic and Matty. Whilst based in Scotland but working in the South, Mic and Mim are always happy to provide the perfect pit stop for Matty in Lymm (or Lyme as Matty calls it)

As Mics younger brother, James provided the perfect scapegoat during sibling antics, or perhaps it was the other way around? During their childhood they shared the joys of mixed meat casseroles and custard surprise, and James was always there to make sure Mic was suitably embarrassed as only a little brother can do. But with a more recent shared love of Guinness and outdoor kit, the Stratford boys are closer than ever.

Mic and PJ met in 2018 with a very important hobby in common, the gym. However even after a 7 year friendship, including various courses and work obligations, they still haven't managed to agree on the same training style. Let’s just say PJ’s is somewhat more scientific and knowledge based and Mics is more 'I man, I lift heavy object!'

Mic and Roddy also met in 2018 during training whilst in Hunter Company, both injured at the same time. Their sense of humours matched instantly and then 3 years later finding themselves at the same unit, in the same troop and in the same grot, they picked up right where they left off. Roddy even came up to the famous Lymm panto and helped Mic and Mim with the destruction part of their house renovation!

Mic and Latch met more recently in 2023 sharing a flat at 40 commando. Once again training in the gym together became a great base for this friendship too. The two have shared many over seas travels with work and have always managed to find something that resembles a gym. The funniest part of this friendship is Latch's regular disapproval of Mic’s post gym diet!

As Mims brother, it was only right that Jonny have an important role in the wedding, and with his confident presence, Master of Ceremonies made sense. As Mims favourite person growing up, the creator of her sense of humour and her sounding board always, it's no surprise Jonny was the person Mim was most anxious to introduce Mic to. After a fair few bottles of Red wine, Jonny finally got Mic out of his shell and gave his seal of approval (we think!) Providing Jonny with a constant Budgy Smuggling companion definitely went a long way.

Since the first week of Uni, Eleanor has seen it all (most of which stays between the girls). Always there to keep Mim organised and save her a seat when she was undoubtedly running late, and with trips to Paris, New York, Conwy and countless sleepovers in Mic and Mims spare room, Eleanor is pretty much part of the furniture now. Also having learnt the art of 'knowing your limits and turning to water', she's always a perfect companion for Mim who hasn't yet mastered that.

Since the first week of Uni Ella has been a constant, from joint naps in prep for the night ahead, life planning sessions that usually ended up in a bottle of prosecco and with a joint love of rugby, this friendship clearly has strong foundations. So strong infact Ella was even entrusted by Mic to bare witness and film the proposal itself. Despite having no proper footwear (Mics fault obviously) and being in the middle of a storm, Ella was definitely up for the task and Mim wouldn't have had it any other way.

As Mims older sister, Ellie has been there from the start, with rollerblade performances at the top of their avenue to mud pie making in Grandma and Grandads Orchard, the two made great companions growing up together. Although, after breaking Mims finger and giving her concussion in the same month, Mims still not entirely convinced Ellie was happy with the addition of a little sister.

After meeting in 2012 Kate very quickly became the perfect sister-in-law for Mim and vice versa. Sharing a love of Fizz (no matter the occasion or time of day) and being entirely clueless in all things 'girlie' meant Mim's always on hand for makeovers, hair braiding and a glass of fizz whenever Kate needs it. Kate also holds the role of teaching Mim the importance of a 'double soco and lemonade' on the way home.

Although unable to make it over for the wedding, Rhi and her terrible driving has definitely earnt a special mention. After living with Mim throughout Uni and always being on hand for a cocktail night out, there's not much the two haven't been through. However Rhi almost crashing the girls into a fire engine and leaving Mim to parallel park her car after attempting it too many times to count will definitely stay high on the list of memories.

As Mim's first nephew, Jack has played a huge role in her life over the past 8 years. However thinking she would always be his favourite was naive when he ran up to her after meeting Mic for the first time saying, 'Auntie Mim, where have you found this new friend for me!' Ever since then when Mim sees Jack he always looks behind her and asks, 'Is Muc here?' (not that she's bitter or anything)

Jim, also known as Taz loves Uncle Muc just as much as Jack does. However he has found a new love of questioning as he's grown up, 'Uncle Muc is doing WHAT whilst soldiering?', 'You mean he sleeps outside...', 'Eugh is Uncle Muc soldiering AGAIN!' But once again whenever Jim see's Mim, he will always look behind her in the hopes Muc is there too.

Riggs rewrote everything Mim thought she knew about being an Auntie but she wouldn't have him any other way. Nothing can beat the excitement in his voice when he screams 'Its Mim Mim!!!' over facetime, and as Mics Godson its only a matter of time before 'Uncle Muc' becomes the favourite in this household too.

As the newest Nephew to join our family, Colby is taking the world in his mellow little stride. It's safe to say the Cartwrights are steadily building their rugby team.

Although slightly older when they met, Izzie and her sisters were the nieces Mim always hoped for. All Mims dreams came true in 2021 on the Stratford family holiday when Izzie was just as excited to have Mim do a fish tail braid in her hair as Mim was to do it.

Mim was very excited to not only have inherited one niece when she met Mic, but three so its not surprising that the first family holiday led to a nail painting pamper session. Mim is also beyond happy to finally have Amber as someone who shares her love of dancing.

With a love of all things creative, Charlie has also given Mim someone she can share one of her loves with. Christmasses have looked a little different recently as Mim can finally buy 'girlie' creative presents, safe to say Mic is no help!

Eden is well and truly Mic and Mims pride and joy. She fell in love with Mic after day one and since then she has been factored into and featured in every stage of Mic and Mims relationship. Since being there on their first date, collecting the keys to their house and giving Mim her first kiss after the proposal, it’s only right Eden has a role in the wedding too.

As the newest member of their family Martha definitely likes to keep Mic and Mim on their toes. She’s snuggly and hilarious however with a very giddy puppy mindset at times the jury is still out on whether Martha makes the cut for the wedding party or if she is a reception guest only.
