We met in 2016, but when we first met we simply looked across the room at each other. I (Michael) was in full-on-Republican attire since I just came from an event. We were in a meeting room together both running for student government for Penn State. Across the room I (Michael) saw this guy...with purple pink hair without a beard. We had a mutual friend, and I asked if he was single. He was, so I asked him out. Nate said "sure." We went to Cozy Thai the next week, and it became our favorite restaurant. After the summer, our traditional pattern was to go to Cozy Thai, to Chumley's for drinks to then go to student government. I ended up at his apartment a lot, but we were not public about our relationship until Christmas.

Michael was known to vote no at student government the most, and Nate was known to vote yes.

We continued to date, and out relationship became long distance for a time. During this season we adopted two cats together. We eventually were able to move in our first place together in the summer of 2018 in Media, PA.

During the summer of 2021, we went to Disney, and I (Michael) proposed to Nate by the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom. Nate eagerly said "yes!" We quickly found out our rings were too large for each other so we wear them on our necks.
