His Version:

It all began when I came back to God and got restored. One evening at a singles’ event I saw Stella for the first time and boy did she catch my eye. That day I didn't get to talk to her because the Spirit did not allow us to meet and I never saw her again. A few years went by, and I saw Stella for a second time, but again the Spirit did not allow us to meet. A couple of months went by and then I saw her at a singles’ event for a third time and the Spirit allowed us to meet. We talked for the first time and it was organic and you could see how God set this up. It was finally the right time. It was God's timing at love. Meeting Stella was a dream come true. She had all the values I was looking for in a woman. As we got to know each other you could see how God had worked on us both at the same time; because of God, discipleship and therapy, we are finally ready to have a spiritually healthy relationship with God.

Her Version:

I met Mike on St. Patrick’s Day in 2024 at the Coastline Church of Christ in Huntington Beach. We were both visiting the same service that day. Several months prior, I had made plans with a friend to hang out after church that day, but God had something else in mind. My friend couldn’t make it because her husband got COVID, which paved the way for me to meet Mike! When service was over, I stuck around to talk to some old friends I hadn’t seen in a while. From the corner of my eye, I spotted Mike standing there, patiently waiting, and when I was done talking to someone, Mike stepped up and introduced himself: “I’ve seen you around, and I’ve been meaning to talk to you…” I was impressed by his boldness! He was very direct, straight to the point, and the flow of the conversation went very smoothly. We took the conversation outside and talked some more, and then we went out for lunch with his friends where the fellowship continued.

As the conversation unfolded, I learned that Mike had seen me once before in 2019 and again in 2023, but for one reason or another, we were unable to meet. God had to take each of us through different journeys to prepare us for each other in His perfect timing.
