Picture of Our Story
Dan and I met officially during our 8th-grade math class, we didn’t talk a ton in 8th grade but we still were friends, I was kind of annoying in 8th grade so I don’t blame him. Then one day in May of 2013 in 9th grade, I was outside for gym class, and there happened to be a bomb threat, so I was stuck outside for a few hours without any of my stuff, luckily I had brought my phone out with me. When it was time to go home for the day I was hot and cranky from being outside during the bomb threat when someone cut me off while walking to my bus. Instantly I gave a little sass but then I realized it was Dan who I hadn’t seen much since 8th grade due to the sheer size of Arlington High School. From that day of the bomb threat, the rest is history, we started dating on May 18th, 2013. Our first date was at the Hyde Park Drive-in, I think we saw the movie Tammy and World War Z. From that point on we became inseparable, always wanted to be together, we made so many memories in the time we’ve been together, I also got a super cute dog out of this relationship named Budwick. Then fast forward a few years to Christmas Eve of 2018, Dan’s family has a tradition of doing the first gift of Christmas on Christmas Eve, I had no clue what my gift was about to be, Dan had me stand near the Christmas tree and turn around, at this point I think my body knew what was happening but my mind didn’t catch on yet, I started crying a little and thought could you imagine if I turn around to a box of candy crying. Then, Dan told me to turn around and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with the most beautiful ring, I ugly cried and just took the ring without even saying yes, I did say yes though after the ring was already on my finger. I was in such shock I didn’t process what had happened for a couple of hours! Dan picked out such a perfect ring and kept it so secret from me. We decided after some consideration to ditch the venue and do a much smaller, intimate backyard wedding with our pup Harold in the Adirondacks this year and we couldn’t be more excited!
