Connor and I met at our first real job after graduating in 2018. We were co-workers first, then friends. I remember being so nervous when asking him for SolidWorks help because he seemed to know so much more than I did, but he was really kind and gave me some awesome pointers. He’d always bring these elaborate sandwiches for lunch, and I assumed his mom made them for him, but after talking more, I realized HE was making the sandwiches. In that moment, I knew we were going to get along well.

Connor is the sweetest, smartest, most supportive human and living together over the past few years, with our ever growing family of pets has been such an adventure. I feel so lucky that I get to marry my best friend this September - especially because he makes the BEST comfort food!

It seems like forever ago when Michaela so hesitantly asked those SolidWorks questions to which I nervously answered. We didn’t talk much until Michaela got tired of eating lunch alone and asked me to join her (a signature Mich move). We talked and talked about everything from music tastes, to my previously mentioned awesome sandwiches. We carpooled together, got ice cream after work, and Mich would come to my baseball games. Soon after we started dating, we put together a spreadsheet and determined that it would be more efficient to rent a place near our work - no surprise from two engineers. We told our friends and family that we’d be moving in together and the rest was history.

Michaela’s ambition to do anything despite the hurdles, endless capacity to love, and light hearted silliness bring endless joy to anyone’s life she is a part of. I am so grateful for all the memories that we have, and I’m so excited for all of the life ahead of us. This September will be another milestone we’ll look back to celebrate, and I am so excited to share it with all of our friends and family.
