Our Wedding

William and Michaela have been dating for four years but they have known each other for far longer. To set the scene: It's 2013, Will and Michaela are at their first away robotics competition. While in between competition days the team is waiting at the hotel that they were staying in when Michaela comes down to the hotel lobby to find William playing chess. As he had only recently learned how to play he was eager to improve. upon seeing Michaela he asks her if she knows how to play. she says no and he then proceeds to teach Michaela how to play. Thinking he may be able to win a game he is greatly disappointed when she promptly beats him. That was the first interaction they had that would then lead to being friends both in and out of robotics for the remainder of high school and beyond. We then fast forward to February 2021, Michaela and William have not talked much since graduating due to going separate ways after high school. Perhaps by chance though Michaela finds William's bumble account (an online dating app) and decides to like his profile and see what happens. William immediately proceeds to take a picture of her profile and send her a picture in messenger saying "I found your profile". They then end up talking back and forth for a few weeks when William asks her if she wants to meet up in person to catch up with each other directly. After going back and forth on where to meet up William discovers Michaela has never been to the burger join known as Five Guys. William decides that this is unforgivable and invites her out to eat with him. William picked Michaela up at 6:00 PM and they talked at Five Guys back and forth till they closed the restaurant at 10:00 PM. William then took Michaela home and they continued to chat while sitting in the car looking at photos and memes on each others phones. Michaela started to lean in closer, while William put his arm on the back of her chair. Finally they had this conversation: William: Is this a thing?Michaela: Do you want it to be a thing?William: Yes.Michaela: Then its a thing Thus, at 4:00 AM in Michaela's moms driveway their romance began!

Where we started

Michaela learned how to make paper cranes around the time her and William began dating. She has since given him one at every anniversary. At one week, one month, six months, one year, and every year after. Will then puts them on his dash in his car so he can see them where ever he goes. In Japan there is a legend that if you fold 1000 paper cranes you will get a wish. In the spirit of this legend and the cranes history with the couple they decided to fold 1000 paper cranes to place on the tables of the wedding. When you see them let them represent the couples dedication, patience, and hope for their future together.

Eli has been William's oldest friend to date (not counting family) and has been consistently the "ride or die" type of friend. William has always known that when it comes to backing him up in any way shape or form that Eli will be there. William is happy and excited to have Eli standing next to him on this very special day and cant wait to have even more fun hangouts in the years to come.

Madelyn has know the bride since April 9th 2001. She and the bride have been through thick and thin together. No matter what life throws at them they know they have each other to rely on. You could almost say they act like sisters ;)

Aaron has always been the type of guy that has always managed to bring the life to and energy to whatever even he goes to. no matter where its at. Weather it be a simple campout from back when they where in scouts, or a holiday party or even a simple BBQ. Whatever it is, Guaranteed, Aaron will bring the energy. Beyond that William has always known Aaron to be the type of guy that will consistently give his honest opinion on anything that William asks him about. Even if that opinion is telling William that he is an idiot and shouldn't do that, William knows that it will be honest. It has always been one of the things that William has appreciated the most about Aaron and why he is very happy to have him by his side on the big day.

MaKayla has known the bride since September of 2018. They met in passing but their bond is strong. They continue to be each others person. Especially when it comes to spending money at a book store XD

Rileigh has know the bride since August of 2016. They played animal crossing, took 3:00 PM naps, and laughed together. Now the games may have changed and the naps ended but they continue to laugh together... and they were roommates.

Ian has always been the guy that William has been able to go to be able to vent about anything and everything. The type of guy that William has always been able to just hangout with even if they are just sitting in the living room watching tv or a movie. He has always been the friend that William has been able to vibe with by just existing in the same space. The type of friend that William knows will be a comforting presence the day of the wedding.

Kristen has known the bride since august of 2016. She was a bonus roommate that was always checking that the bride was ok. One of their favorite stories is the time the bride was not feeling well (stress) and Kristen threw a piece of bread at her and told her to "EAT!" Even now Kristen takes care of her friends and reminds them to take care of themselves.

Austin and William have been close friends ever since they were little kids roaming about the family get togethers or even wandering the square in Independence when they were older. Austin is the type of guy that William has always enjoyed fantasizing about what each of them would do in nearly any type of situation they might find themselves in. Weather that may be a simple case of how to defend their home, or what they would do in the case of a zombie apocalypse. No matter the scenario, William and Austin had a plan.

Megan met the bride in August of 2018. Megan entered her life and turned it upside down. Megan helped the bride make life exciting. Megan reminds the bride that "Girls just want to have fun!"

Nathaniel is the type of guy that has always been fun to hangout with to forget the troubles of the world. He has always been the type of guy that William has been able to hangout with. The type to simply forget any troubles that may be going on in the world and to instead simply get lost in whatever game Nathaniel had to share. weather that may be the cursed MOW, a game of presidents or a complex game of DND, no matter what, Nathaniel has a way of making each game and hangout a fun one.

Madeliene Has known the bride since they were freshman in high school. Maddie grew up with the bride. They met in their French class where they bonded over "under pressure" by Queen. Even 10 years later, One of the duo will hear the beginning notes and think of the other. (They may also screech the lyrics :D)
