What is the dress code?

Cocktail Attire: Ladies, this is your chance to shine in stylish dresses or chic separates, while gentlemen can opt for dress shirts paired with dress pants or suits.

As for colors, we kindly ask that you avoid wearing white, as that's a color reserved for our beautiful bride. Please also take a peek at our wedding invitation for any specific color themes or guidelines to ensure your attire complements the overall vibe. We appreciate your efforts to make our day even more special with your elegant and tasteful fashion choices.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Our heartfelt ceremony will take place indoors at the Carmel Mission Basilica, offering a warm and intimate setting. Dress comfortably for the indoor ambiance, and feel free to add a touch of fall elegance to your attire.

Cocktail Hour and Dinner

Following the ceremony, we'll move outdoors for a delightful cocktail hour and dinner amidst the beauty of late fall. Considering the season, we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl to stay cozy as the evening air may have a crisp touch.

Dance the Night Away in the Ballroom:

As the night unfolds in the ballroom, get ready to dance and celebrate. You might want to bring a comfortable pair of shoes to hit the dance floor with ease.

Fall Essentials

Given the outdoor setting on the grass, we suggest footwear suitable for uneven terrain, such as wedges or flats. You may also want to consider a shawl or wrap to keep warm and a cozy blanket for added comfort during dinner.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

For those who would prefer to drive, there will be plenty of parking at both the Church and Bernardus Lodge. However, to ensure your safety and convenience on our special day, we've arranged for a bus pick-up service from two key locations: downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea at the Carmel Plaza and The Crossroads for those staying at Carmel Mission Inn.

Can I bring my kids?

We adore your little ones and cherish their presence in our lives. While we envision a night filled with celebration, dancing, and joy, we've decided to make our wedding an adults-only affair. We hope you can still join us for this special day and share in the love and excitement. Your understanding and support mean the world to us.

I have dietary restrictions / allergies. What is the bes way to let you know?

We understand that some of our cherished guests may have dietary restrictions or allergies, and we want to assure you that your comfort and enjoyment are important to us. To accommodate your needs, we kindly ask you to share any dietary restrictions on our RSVP page. This will allow us to work closely with our caterer to ensure a delightful dining experience for everyone.

What is the best way to contact you if I have additional questions?

To ensure that your experience at our wedding is seamless, we have a dedicated wedding coordinator available to assist with any serious questions or concerns.

Please feel free to contact our wedding coordinator directly at josh@goldencoastplanning.com via email or by phone at (831) 524-4951.
