1. Walk around the Old Town

Enjoy the Town of Skiathos by strolling through the beautiful blue and white streets, enjoying all the quaint shops, scrumptious food and welcoming Greek smiles. You are also likely to see a few of the resident Skiathos cats catching the morning sun, or relaxing in the shade of a bright, pink Bougainvillea. Be sure to walk up to the Church of Agios Nikolaos with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Skiathos Old Town.

3. Hire quadbikes and explore the island

The island is small enough to explore on quadbikes in a day. This is a great way to see the whole island and all the beautiful beaches and scenery.

5. Visit the Skiathos Winery

Enjoy a glass of wine, while soaking up the sun and overlooking Skiathos island, by visiting the family owned Parissis Winery.

6. Hiking, walking, running

7. Enjoy a boat ride

There are various boats trip that leave from the Skiathos port to explore the region. Destinations include Tsougrias island, Lalaria Beach, Skopelos Port and many more.

8. Visit Skopelos

If you have a bit more time in Greece, Skopelos is the island closest to Skiathos, only a 50 minute ferry ride away. Another beautiful island to explore. Skopelos is world renowned as the main location of filming for the 2008, Mamma Mia! movie, including the famous church where the wedding took place.


Due to ferry times it may not be possible to do Skopelos as a day trip and you may need to spend a night or 2 on the island.
