Alex and I met through mutual friends on Facebook of all places in March of 2017. We then spent years communicating online, through texts, facetime calls and even email at times. Distance was our struggle; Buffalo to Vegas is 2,269 miles apart, which does not make it easy to physically see your partner. But we overcame our distance after traveling back and forth for a couple of years and Alex moved here this past November.

Alex proposed on December 30th of 2022. He was visiting me to celebrate the new year as well as my Janet debut in the holiday shadowcast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. (this was my first leading lady role ever and it meant a lot that he was able to come see this performance). Between extreme air traffic delays, cancelled flights and an historic blizzard, he was able to fly into Cleveland, Ohio. Luckily for us the travel restrictions were lifted just in time for me to go to Ohio to pick him up and bring him back to Buffalo. After my show ended and after bows he came up on stage and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes and that part of the story ends covered in confetti and champagne.

We are so excited to begin this next chapter in our story and have the best day celebrating our love with our friends and family.
