Historic Downtown Mall
Stroll through downtown Charlottesville’s pedestrian mall and enjoy its shops and restaurants. Highlights include Citizen Burger, Mudhouse, Whiskey Jar, and Alley Light.
University of Virginia
Peruse the historic grounds of Thomas Jefferson’s university (aka our alma mater!). Notable locations include the Pavilion Gardens, Lawn, and Rotunda.
Take a quick walk over to the Corner for food and drinks. Don't miss Marco & Luca Dumplings, Take it Away, Boylan Heights, and Bodo’s Bagels.
Wineries, Breweries, and Cideries
Discover a major part of Charlottesville's charm by enjoying exceptional local wines at scenic spots nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We particularly love Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, Afton Mountain Vineyards, Blenheim Vineyards, Jefferson Vineyards, and Bold Rock Cidery.
Monticello
Explore the picturesque home of Thomas Jefferson, located just a short drive from downtown Charlottesville. History buffs can also check out James Monroe’s Highland, adjacent to Monticello.
Humpback Rocks
Enjoy a beautiful hike with stunning views of the Rockfish and Shenandoah Valleys. Popular at both sunrise and sunset, it features short and long trail length options.
Blue Ridge Parkway
Take a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, renowned for its breathtaking vistas and serene landscapes. Stop by one of the breweries along the way for fuel.
