Our Love Story Michaela & Jakob Our story began in the quad of Mojave High School, where a playful exchange of stealing each other’s glasses turned into an unforgettable connection. We were just teenagers when we met, but something clicked immediately. We quickly became friends, spending nearly every day together at school—and soon, we found ourselves hanging out outside of school too. As our friendship grew, so did our feelings. Eventually, we couldn’t deny it any longer—we were more than friends. Once we made it official, we were inseparable. Everyone at school knew us simply as “Jakob and Kayla” always together and never apart. We moved in together and that’s when our lives started. Over the years, we’ve grown up side by side—traveling to Hawaii and Northern California, facing challenges like the Camp Fire, and celebrating beautiful moments. Through every up and down, weve always supported, encouraged, and loved one another deeply. In spring of 2022, Jakob proposed—and just a few months later, we found out we were expecting our daughter Lilly, our rainbow baby. She was born on January 29, 2023, and changed our lives in the most beautiful way. Now, after nearly a decade of love, laughter, and life together, we’re so excited to say “I do” on September 18, 2025—just two days before our 10-year anniversary. We’ve built a life full of everything we ever dreamed of, and we can’t wait for this next chapter as husband and wife

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Our wedding venue is in Elk Grove, which is about a 3-hour drive from our home in Red Bluff. We recommend booking accommodations in or near Elk Grove for the wedding. If you’d like to extend your trip and spend a little extra time visiting with us, that would happen in Red Bluff, not Elk Grove. Just let us know—we’d love to see you while you're in the area! We’ve included travel and accommodation details to help with your planning, whether you're joining us just for the wedding or staying a little longer.
