Once upon a swipe, in the wild world of Hinge, Connor and Michaela’s paths crossed in a digital dance of fate. Our first date? A delightfully quirky afternoon at Lazy Dog, where Connor boldly ordered a questionable tortilla soup that, let’s just say, had a bit of a rumble with his stomach later. Michaela, meanwhile, bravely took two sips of a sangria that was… less than stellar (though she’d never admit she didn't actually like it). The real magic sparked after lunch when we strolled into Barnes &amp; Noble. There, Connor, ever the charmer, bought Michaela a copy of Sense and Sensibility—a book that later starred in his proposal. (Yes, we’re fully aware it’s a sly jab at societal institutions like marriage, but we’re embracing the irony with a grin.)Four months into our romance, life threw us a challenge: a two-year long-distance relationship. Everyone said, “Long distance is tough,” and they weren’t wrong. Late-night calls, glitchy FaceTime dates, and counting down to stolen weekends pushed us to the limit. But our love? Michaela loves the chicken alfredo, and Connor loves their lasagna and ravioli! Braised Kitchen Classic plates with a modern twist! (Burgers, pizza, pasta, and more!)

Component Coffee (also in Tulare)One of Connor and Michaela's early dating spots. Michaela loves their lavender latte and a pastry on the side. Connor likes the traditional drip coffee! (Classic) The Planning MillGreat vibe and an even better spot to split a pizza with your friends! Bravo Farms (also in Tulare)Want something more fresh? Bravo has a build-your-own salad option, and they aren't stingy! They also have sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, and nachos (Michaela's personal favorite). Sushi Kuu Craving sushi? This downtown gem serves fresh rolls, nigiri, and creative dishes like the “Rainbow Roll.” It’s perfect for a light, flavorful dinner. Granny’s Country Cafe Connor and Michaela have met up here for breakfast, and it's become a favorite. Serves up big plates, big comfort, and you leave with a full stomach. Pro Tip: Arrive early to beat the morning rush and try their pancakes or waffles (they melt in your mouth)

Mulligan's Sports Bar &amp; Golf Club (Visalia)New spot in Visalia for you to enjoy a nice drink, some finger foods, and virtual top golf! The Cellar Door (Visalia)Michaela has been here once for an Amy Winehouse tribute. It was a good experience, and I hope it will be for you too!
