There is a risk of getting altitude sickness in Colorado. Our wedding venue is 8,500 feet above sea level. "Altitude sickness happens when your body has trouble adjusting to the difference in how much oxygen you’re getting with each breath." Symptoms include headache, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, etc. Please take it easy if you begin experiencing any of these symptoms! And stay hydrated throughout your trip!

While we love your little ones, our wedding is an adult-only gathering.

You'll want to fly into and out of Denver International Aiport (DIA). Estes Park is about 1.5 hours from DIA. To get to and from Estes Park you can rent a car or use the Estes Park Airport Shuttle. Rates and their schedule can be found here: https://www.estesparkshuttle.com/DIA-airport-shuttle.

While renting a car may be more convenient, you can get by without renting one (if you're only staying in Estes Park). Once you get to Estes Park, there is a free shuttle that can take you all around town. There is a free shuttle stop a few minutes walk from Murphy's Resort and the Quality Inn. We are providing a complimentary shuttle to the wedding venue that will pick up and drop off at Murphy's Resort and the Quality Inn. You may also drive to and from the venue as there is parking (pst! see more details in the next question). We will provide a shuttle schedule closer to the wedding day.

Yes, there is a parking lot at the venue! Guests are allowed to leave their cars overnight, but the cars must be moved by 10 AM the next day (Sunday, June 30).

The wedding venue is about 20 minutes from Estes Park.

The ceremony will be held outside and take place rain or shine. If it is raining you will be provided with umbrellas. The reception will take place inside.

Yes, there will be an open bar! Wine, beer, and spirits will be available for free.

NO! Please do not bring outside alcohol to our wedding venue. This includes any alcohol or pre-gaming in the venue parking lot. We will lose our security deposit. And, there will be plenty of alcohol when you arrive.

Unfortunately, you cannot smoke marijuana at our wedding. Per our contract with the venue, marijuana, and other drugs are not allowed on the premises. Please do not bring any drugs to our wedding as we don't want to be fined.
