Colby and Michaela met at the Zoo in 2018 and became friends right away!

It was not till the summer after Michaela graduated from college that she started to see Colby in a new light. One of their first memories together was after a work party in Columbus where Colby carried her to her car!

Michaela left for the World Race to do mission work for 11 months around the globe! Colby asked Michaela to be his girlfriend before she left, and she denied so she could fully focus and pursue the Lord during this time.

Colby continued to work at the zoo and pursue his bachelors degree in Air Transportation to become a pilot!

Michaela spent a month camping on a mountain in Honduras helping build a church. She had no cell service and prayed for wisdom and discernment on whether she should continue to pursue Colby.

Little to Michaela's surprise, Colby did not let distance win, and when she got to Costa Rica he kept pursuing her anytime she had Wi-Fi available to FaceTime!

Michaela had a 3-hour layover in Miami before flying to Europe, which meant Colby had to fly down to ask her to be his official girlfriend! (Again!)

Michaela said yes!! They got to spend a meal together, and Colby had to spend the night at the Miami airport while Michaela flew out to Albania!

Back to long distant dating for another 6 months!

Michaela got to work with a food program in Eswatini. This was one of her favorite places on the trip. She fell in love with the kids!

Flying back to the States!! Michaela had been counting down the days to see Colby and was trusting in God that what Colby and her had was real!

After 4 long flights, Michaela made it to her best friend's wedding in Chicago, where Colby drove to join in the celebration, and of course, see Michaela!

Colby became Michaela's date to every wedding that summer!

Colby got his private pilot license!!

First vacation together to Alaska with Michaela's friends and family! Colby was a trooper meeting everyone!

Michaela, by the grace of God, got a high school teacher job alongside her mom and started to further her education in a master’s degree in counseling!

Colby and Michaela spent lots of time cheering on the Buckeyes for Colbys last year! #foreverabuckeye

Colby graduated from OSU with his bachelor degree in arts!

Summer road trip across the country together! Saw many sites. Michaela got to relive her favorite family road trip with Colby and tell him many stories about her dad.

Made it to Vegas and visited with some of Colby's family!

Colby then started at NetJets as a International Trip Planner!

Colby finally got on one knee, after teaching Michaela how to fly a little! It was a long 2 years of waiting for Michaela!

Where it all began. The rest is history :) Colby and Michaela thank God everyday for bringing the two of them together and could not be happier to start the rest of their lives together!
