Our story started young, 16 and 17 years old to be exact, and we met with the help of both of our mothers playing match- maker at Two Lakes Supper Club. Needless to say they did a great job, and they know it. This prom picture was taken only a few hours after Jack popped the question, "Will you be my girlfriend?". And the rest of high school was spent being in love, cheering each other on in sports, going hunting, fishing, etc..

Of course college and long distance is not easy, so eventually we went our separate ways and continued life as young adults figuring our what the heck we were doing. Some summers we would reconnect but knowing it was short lived most of the time. Until 2021, our paths crossed again (for good) and so many adventures came along with it. We still had to face distance while Jack finished college baseball at West Texas A&M. But visiting him in Texas was always a good time. When he was done, we finally moved in together, had our cats meet (successfully), and then added our golden retriever, Wesson, who is our absolute pride and joy.

And finally THE question was popped on December 27th, 2023. On a random Wednesday night, Jack came home with pheasant feathers from a recent pheasant hunting trip because he knew I really liked them. After he gave them to me, he was suddenly on one knee in the middle of our living room floor. The rest was a blur, and we both can't remember what was said, but it was perfect.

Fun fact, we had to go to Dollar General for press on nails because he proposed on the one day I didn't have my nails done. (if you know, you know)
