September 2016: Met at a party at UNL, Michala knew Taylor as "hot Taylor from Delt" for the first 6 months of their friendship

February 2017: the infamous party bus. From this point on, we started having study dates, volleyball dates, and ice cream dates pretty regularly.

April 19, 2017: officially started dating (Spring of freshman year)

May 2019: Taylor moved to Chicago for 2 months for an internship with Goldman Sachs (was a pretty big deal for a small town boy). We continued to date, but the only way we communicated was via handwritten, snail-mail letters. No phone calls, texts, or FaceTime dates. We stuck to this fun challenge for two months, but it was this summer that we realized we didn't ever want to go a day without being there for each other.

January 2020: We celebrated our pinning! Nebraska's greek life has a unique tradition where a senior boy and a senior girl who have been dating for a while pin one another in front of their houses. Then have a party with all of their friends to celebrate their relationship. Think of a mini greek-life wedding.

May 2020: we graduate college! Taylor moves to Chicago, Michala moves to Kansas City. Thanks covid for the cheap flights and allowing T to work from home!

July 2021: Michala moves to Wichita to start medical school

April 2022: We celebrate our 5 year - we both freak out on what the heck we're doing, but decide we like where we're at, no need to change our relationship

December 2022: We both realize that holy crap we want to marry each other

February 2023: Taylor, knowing how close Michala is to her family, brings up the idea that she should go ring shopping with her mom, aunt, and grandma while in Florida.

March 2023: Taylor has the "talk" with Michala's parents (and brothers!)

June 23, 2023: Taylor proposes!!!! At a winery just north of Wichita.
