As many of you know, Michele and Patrick met in physical therapy school while living in Wheeling, West Virginia. They started out as friends and classmates pursuing a common goal: to graduate and go on to help people. After a few months as friends, they both realized the potential for something more serious (Patrick may have had the realization before Michele did). Patrick invited Michele to return to his hometown of Corry, Pennsylvania for Easter - to meet and spend time with his family. Of course, Michele made an excellent impression on Patrick's family and fit in right away. They officially began dating not long after, and were soon functionally living together, along with Michele's actual roommate, Donna. They dated the remaining 2 years in graduate school - which included a few 8-10 week spurts of long distance while on clinical rotations. This is where their love for traveling together began. The first rotation Michele was in Atlanta, GA and Patrick was in Greenville, NC. Every weekend they would visit one another, exploring new areas. They found a beautiful crystal clear blue lake just north of Greenville, NC called Lake Jocassee where they fell deeper into love as they kayaked around attempting to find some hidden waterfalls (which they never found). They both graduated from Wheeling University in December of 2020 as Doctors of Physical Therapy. Michele and Patrick then lived in Southern Maryland for a year with Michele's parents, before eventually becoming travel physical therapists. They have worked travel contracts in New Orleans LA, Medford OR, Bakersfield CA, San Jose CA, Dayton OH, and are currently working in the Salem OR area. They have explored numerous national parks, state parks, from the high desert, to climbing mountains, to the Pacific Ocean. Before beginning their contracts near Salem, OR - Michele and Patrick drove across country (for the third time) from Maryland to Seattle. They completed their trip by eloping at Mt. Rainier in Washington state on August 20th, 2024 - officially becoming husband and wife. No matter where they have lived, their love for each other, their family, the outdoors, and their Bernedoodle - Rosie have remained constant. And now, the couple is inviting you to join them in celebrating their love together!
