Black tie optional is preferred- we'd like our guests to have the option of wearing their most formal attire (think: an evening gown or tuxedo) but can also choose to wear a formal suit or cocktail dress instead.

For the ceremony, please arrive no later than 2:45 PM. For the reception, you may arrive as early as 6:00 PM. The open bar will be ready for guests at that time and the cocktail hour will begin at 6:30 PM.

No! If you book online, your hotel room will not be part of our hotel block; therefore, you will not receive a discounted rate and you will not be included in the shuttles. Please call Best Western at (973) 575-7700 to book your hotel room and mention our wedding block (please visit the Accommodations page for further details).

You must mention that you are staying for the Mattia/Whitford wedding in order to receive a hotel room. We have blocked of hotel rooms specifically for our guests.

Yes, Saint Lucy's Church has a free parking lot available. Nanina's in the Park has free valet parking as well. The Best Western hotel also has free parking for guests staying there.

After the ceremony ends at Saint Lucy's Church, we encourage you to check into your room at the Best Western Fairfield Executive Inn and get ready for the reception! Make sure to be ready for the shuttles that will leave an hour before the reception (5:30 PM) to take guests to Nanina's in the Park. If you are staying local or already checked in, we recommend Brix in Belleville, down the road from Nanina's, which has a bar to relax at before the reception begins.

With the exception of our ring bearer and flower girl, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.
