If you have not yet experienced Chicago and have some free time, we definitely recommend taking a walk along the lake. During the summer, its absolutely gorgeous. The views near the Adler Planetarium or at Promontory Point are some of Michele's favorites!
Check out a game at Sox park and see Chicago's best baseball team! There are 2 fun bars - Cork & Kerry & Turtles - nearby for drinks before or after, but we also recommend a tailgate if you can!
Dan would be upset if we did not mention Wrigley & the Cubs, too. Catch a game at historic Wrigley, too, if the Sox are out of town of something..
Michele absolutely loves visiting the Garfield Park Conservatory, especially in the winter or on a rainy day. Its a good place to find some sunshine, warmth and greenery to brighten your day!
Arguably the best Chicago pizza (FYI, not deep dish) & conveniently located on the southside.
The tastiest ice cream on the south side - you have to try while visiting (unless you are allergic to nuts, but I am sure their other ice cream is also great)!
Check out a thunderbolts game if you want to stay southside and watch baseball for a lottt cheaper, but still have a lovely time.
