Michele & Alex wish that they had one of those romantic "how we met" stories, but they are sorry to tell you that they don't. Back in January 2018, they met because they both decided to swipe right on each other on a dating app. After a few days of conversing, Alex was quick to ask Michele out to dinner, so they had their first date at Cava Mezze in Arlington, Virginia. Although there were no expectations of this first date, it clearly didn't end up becoming one of those "bad Tinder date" experiences. Instead, a great first date turned into a second, and then into a third, and then into many many more. Michele immediately knew that Alex was special when he cooked her dinner and bought her flowers on their third date. About a month later, on February 24th 2018, Alex came to visit Michele after her shoulder surgery with dinner and flowers in hand (he clearly knew the way to her heart). It was that evening that they decided to officially start their relationship. What followed was many years of traveling, sharing experiences together, and love (and yes, Alex still frequently cooks Michele dinner).
